BANISHED THE OPERA 2018
Banished is an award winning opera by Stephen McNeff hosted in Kilmainham Gaol January 2019, a modern opera about female prisoners who were transported to Australia in the late eighteenth century.
I chose the element of rebellion within this opera as a focal point when coming up with my visual language. I wanted to visually communicate the empowerment of these female prisoners through a modern take on protest graphics.
