CANNES YOUNG LIONS 2020
One of the highlights of my internship in Boys + Girls was being given the opportunity represent the agency in the digital category for Cannes Young Lions. Where I worked alongside account manager, Orla Kennedy, creating and designing a project for Lust for Life in just 48 hours. The brief was ultimately to create a digital campaign to raise awareness for mental health and how the system is failing us here in Ireland.
SpeakTFup is a social media campaign that engages with young people to open up the lines of communication around mental health, encouraging them to fight for a healthcare system that our mental health deserves. We encourage young people to put their name & face to a word that describes how mental health has effected them – directly or indirectly. In doing so, actively sharing this with their friends on their social will shows the willingness of others to be open around the topic. Highlighting that these issues are more common amongst the people they know then they think. We wanted to tackle the topic in a more colourful, bold and eye catching way than one would normally see regarding mental illness.
